The smile that you thrust upon yourself can only be followed by vomit and death.
I see the bottle in your hands; addiction fills my soul with darkness.
Oh God, help me stop.

As I ponder with my shallow heart, these sins that I have thrust upon myself, walking into this filth with eyes wide open, knowing full well what would await me there.
And in my flesh I rejected a relationship with you, in favor of poisoning my mind with physical pleasure. Though my eyes are darkened, I know the way; but my love of self-destruction outweighs my desire for forgiveness. Oh God, save me from this self-inflicted mire, this snare, this evil. Renew my hunger for your will, oh Father.

Every day we wake up and stumble through life, following a voice, a light in the distance. While all around us is a darkness that threatens to suffocate
and consume the lukewarm, the reprobate.
And as the darkness thickens, the voice grows faint and the light tiny.
I hear the laughter of the ones watching me stumble and I remember

The same God who made the mountains, the same God who calmed the sea, the same God who birthed the heavens;
THAT GOD DIED FOR ME.

For I know that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.
In Jesus Christ I rest my eyes, oh Father save me from myself

I am trapped in habitual sin, my flesh craves for more.
